About this Talk
The goal of this session is for participants from the housing and homelessness sector to feel better equipped to consider the mental capacity of people who they work with, and to feel able to apply this, both in their own decision making and in their discussions with health professionals.
It will start with a Review of the MCA with a particular focus on the assessment of mental capacity and the "Best Interest" principles and then consider these in relation to a case study involving someone with complex needs.
The case study will be drawn from very recent experiences working in Covid hotels in London.
