A Talk by Cat Glew , Kate John , Natalie Moran and Lyndsay Swales
About this Talk
This session will explore how women experiencing homelessness have been impacted by the pandemic and how a gendered emergency response can ensure women’s safety, as well as opportunities for intensive work in a gender and trauma informed way.
We will hear from the work of two partnerships on their role in the emergency responses in Leeds and London. With examples of how vital a gendered emergency response has been for the women supported, how these approaches were advocated for and achieved and how women’s needs are being considered during the transition from emergency accommodation into settled housing.
